NEW DELHI: At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on Saturday, Vayve Mobility unveiled the EVA, India’s first solar-powered electric car. Three versions of the ‘EVA’ have been introduced: the 9 kWh Nova, the 12.6 kWh Stella, and the 18 kWh Vega. Depending on the model, the car costs between Rs 3.25 lakh and Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
“Eva isn’t just a car; it’s a revolution in how we at Vayve Mobility think about automobiles and energy,” Nilesh Bajaj, CEO of Vayve Mobility, stated during the occasion.
“Years of research have led to the synergy between our electric motor and solar panels, which enables Eva to provide a longer range without sacrificing performance through the integration of cutting-edge hardware and intelligent software,” stated Saurabh Mehta, chief technology officer of Vayve Mobility.
According to the business, the “EVA” will be “perfect for city trips” with a true range of 250 kilometers between charges and a top speed of 70 kmph.
By the middle of 2026, the company intends to start producing EVA commercially, and deliveries will begin in the second half of that year. The car will initially be offered in a few cities.
